These days we are all faced with the reality of a very busy lifestyle and this is something that we can not change. What we can do though is to try and deal with the stress. An acupressure chart serves as a graphic representation of the pressure points associated with acupressure an Eastern form of healing.

This is an ancient Chinese form of healing that uses the fingers to press certain pressure points on the surface of the skin in order to assist with pain relief and healing of the body. It is a good way to think about relaxing and there are many people that swear by it.

You might that you are perhaps scared of needles and that is why you do not want to try this form of healing. But this is where an important distinction must be made and that is that this is not the healing science where needles are used. That is called acupuncture.

The normal acupressure chart has a front, back and side view of the areas of the body. Within each view, the acupressure chart depicts the pressure points within the given area of the body. These points include the twelve meridians, alarm points, source points and chi control points.

All of the points provide some form of healing for different parts of the body and what is especially interesting is the fact that these might not be directly linked. So for instance, one might find that if you touch a certain part of the hand, this will help to heal and relieve stress in the back. It all follows the belief that the Chinese have, that there are various connections in our bodies.

One would be amazed how many pressure points there are on the hand. If you were to turn your hand palm facing upwards, you would see that there are an incredible number. If you look at the middle finger, the very top part of it up to the first knuckle has various trigger points for the nasal cavity and oral cavity. So the theory goes if you have a blocked nose that you could relieve some of the pressure by pressing on this point.

The feet are a similar story and there are also many areas of the body that can be healed or have tension relieved as a result of pressure on these points.

Make sure that you get an accurate acupressure chart and you will soon find that you can perhaps heal some of your own ills without having to go a doctor.
